There are a lot of questions that people have when visiting a new Alternative Medicine Practitioner. Find some of the most common questions people have below. If something is still unclear, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?
Acute and chronic issues can be helped with homeopathy. Terminal issues are made more comfortable with homeopathy and symptoms are reduced in severity.
Homeopathy is an alternative route for incurable diseases, where it can offer another means of treatment.
I will always be honest about what I think can be achieved. People find their immune system is boosted with homeopathy. An improved immune system helps your body heal itself.
Homeopathy can stand alone or compliment conventional medicine. It helps ease symptoms as well as the side effects of conventional medicine.
I will never recommend you to stop taking any medication prescribed by your GP or health care professional. When homeopathy helps you, you will feel the need to reduce your other medication. I recommend this be done with the knowledge of your GP or health care professional.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
Once we have arranged an appointment for your consultation I will email you a health history form to complete prior to your consultation, along with a GDPR form and an information sheet from my industry body - the Society of Homeopaths.
It would be great if you can return the forms to me a few days before your appointment. It will be handled with the strictest confidence.

It’s a good idea to have a think about when you first noticed your symptoms.
Come with an open mind and remember there is no judgement. We are all different and I will do my very best to hear what makes you ‘you’ and provide you with the best care possible.
If you are bringing a child I may ask for more information prior to your child’s appointment. This is so that I can learn about any sensitive issues we’d rather not discuss in their hearing. Children are always accompanied by a parent or carer. I provide a wee box of toys and consultations are informal and flexible.
Older children are welcome too. Homeopathy helps hormonal issues, anxiety and many other issues on all levels.
If you are thinking of starting a family homeopathy is a great way to ensure your children are brought into the world with the best possible health. Even our children's predisposed inheritance is enriched if parents prepare.
I can also help with fertility issues if that is something concerning you.
What should I expect from my first session?
You can expect no judgement and a safe, private space to speak openly. You can expect to be fully heard. Before your consultation I will ask you to complete a form about your history. Your current issues, life history and that of your family help me identify the best prescription for you.
Face to face, in person consultations take place in Holburn Street, Aberdeen, Scotland. Online appointments are also available.
I follow the code of conduct and ethics of the Society of Homeopaths and give the highest respect to your privacy.
After your appointment I will ask you to keep notes with dates of any health changes. This is an important part of the process to ensure you are following an expected healing pattern.
How much do your appointments cost?
ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE
Initial package 1. First consultation and 2 additional follow up sessions £200
This is recommended for those maintaining a high level of health with mild to moderate health issues.
Initial package 2. First consultation and 4 additional follow up sessions £300
Recommended for those with deeper or more complex health issues.
Further follow up appointments, if required, are 45 minutes at a cost of £50.
Depending on your health, follow up appointments are anything from three weeks to six weeks apart.
Some people come once every few years after their initial treatment, others need more frequent follow up appointments. This largely depends on your level of health and the depth of your illness.

ACUTE ILLNESSES
30 minutes at a cost of £25 including remedies.
Acute illnesses are colds, the flu, injuries, teething or sudden colic in children, stomach upsets, earache, sudden non recurring infections. I also class pre and post surgery remedies as acute.
If your acute illness is a recurring event I cannot take your case as an acute. Instead, I recommend one of the above packages, simply because recurring symptoms are always deeper and require a more thorough consultation.
COURSES
Six week beginners homeopathy kitchen course. Learn to help acute illnesses. Includes an 18 remedy kit and book which I will help you to use. Lots of stories, quizzes and the all-important homeopathic philosophy to help you prescribe safely for yourself and your family and friends. Variable days and times £110.
